Software

Technics KN7000 Keyboard Downloads: KN7000 Song Manager, KN7000 Audio Recorder and KN7000 Windows drivers.

KN7000 Downloads

The software below was provided on a CD with the KN7000 keyboard. There are issues with installing the software on some newer versions of Windows. You can download the software at the bottom of this page. Read more about installing the software on our sister site KN7000.co.uk

Song Manager software

1: Upload and Download Songs Simply connect the KN7000 to your PC with a single USB cable to transfer song data. It's that simple.

2: Upload Pictures Use pictures that you have taken with a digital still camera and saved onto your PC to make slide shows by uploading them to the KN7000

If you want more flexibility when working with KN7000 SD Cards you can purchase the SD Explorer software available Here (opens in a new window).

Audio Recorder software

Record and play digital audio using your PC! Record your KN7000 performance as WAV (16-bit, 44.1-kHz stereo) or compress the file as Windows Media Format, or MP3, depending on how you want to use it. For example, you could send compressed files as e-mail attachments or burn CD-R discs from high quality WAV files.

*Some audio files created using other applications cannot be opened by Audio Recorder.
*Compressed digital audio data cannot be converted into WAV format or re-compressed into other formats.

Download the KN7000 SongManager, KN7000 Audio Recorder and KN7000 USB Drivers from the original CD using this link. The download is a zip file.

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU ARE LOGGED IN BEFORE DOWNLOADING. REGISTRATION IS FREE!

KN-SDExplorer

The KN-SDExplorer software is a must-have for KN7000 and KN2600 owners. Click the banner above for full information.

Additional KN7000 Software

Extra software, Styles and MIDI files are available in the Members Area (Your Profile). To access the Members Area click on your Username.

KN7000 software for Windows 7 and Windows 8

The KN7000 USB drivers from the original CD (available in the download link above) don't work well on Windows 7 and 8 but Windows will recognise the audio in and out functions without installing the drivers.

The Song Manager and Audio Recorder Software should work without installing the USB drivers.

MIDI will not work on Windows 7 or 8 over the USB cable so the best way forward is to install the two pieces of software and not attempt to install the USB drivers. Purchase a good quality MIDI cable instead such as the Roland UM-ONE MK2 USB MIDI Interface or the Alesis Cable USB-MIDI because these work well with these newer operating systems.

HarryS Hi Mike, Many thanks for your info, but the reason I asked if anyone has an original, is because I hav spent hours trying to download it without success. I get as far as download driver update and get a request to buy a licence at $30 from Slimware !!! I have yet to get to the pages you show as an example.
My System is Windows 10. I just want to use the AUDIO Recorder to record via the USB, hopefully some thing that my family will then be able to play on a PC.
What am I doing wrong?
Sincerely,
HarryS

RMepstead Hi Harry...it's me...
I have several copies of the original software 'Audio Recorder' on CD format; and of course I have your address...However before you go any further,,,
This software was written somewhere between 15 and 20 years ago for Technics KN7000 keyboards when they were last in production and it is questionable whether modern day computer operating systems would handle this software today.
My advice, in order to send a recording of you playing, to your family and friends, would be to run a lead out of the Line Out at the back of your KN7000 to the line In of your computer and record your music in MP3 format using something like 'Audacity' software which is free to download from the internet.
Then transfer that music across to a CD again using your computer and post that to folk.

OldYouWho I notice this is an old post but I wanted to let you know that I do have the Recorder working in Windows 7 and I have no doubt I will work in Windows 10 but I had not successfully gotten the Music Manager to upload or download.
