Notes

KN2600 can probably load the KN7000 versions of the files above. Let me know if you try it.

The ZIPs now contain 87 Styles across all genres, this means that many directories have only one file because I wanted to establish the full file structure in this release.

NB - In the SD Card directory '15 Y2 MOVIE&SHOW' there is a Style Number 17 (WildWest). You will miss that one unless you scroll down on your KN7000 screen.

Styles Series Y2 All Customs

'All Custom' (AST) files load 20 Styles at a time into your keyboard. They appear in the RHYTHM GROUP > CUSTOM on your keyboard. This is a great way to quickly load many Styles.

'All Customs' can also have Music Stylists and One Touch Play settings associated with them and I have set up the Styles Series Y2 All Customs with all of that information.

My All Customs are a duplicate of the Styles in the directories. Of course, they are much more convenient to use! They are numbered the same as the directories in the ZIP, so that you can easily tell which All Custom to load when you use the APP to match up tunes to the Styles.

As the files contain 20 Styles, if the directory in the ZIP contains less than 20 Styles I have simply duplicated the other Styles in the previous directory. Rather than leaving blank slots. All should be clear when you use them, let me know if not and I will elaborate.

If you're wondering why you see a strange numbering system that doesn't begin with '1', that's because I have pre-planned the numbering for the whole series but I'm not converting them in order.

Ten Latin Styles are added to the zips.

The BigBandSamba Style (No 05) has 8 Panel Memories. PMs 5 to 8 have organ sounds in them. I've left these organ registrations in Styles 06 to 10 also but I haven't tried them out to see whether they are appropriate. You can use them as a starting point if you want some organ registrations.

jeanolivia I have formatted a floppy disk in the 7000 and have got all the files successfully downloaded onto the disk, but they do not come up in the 7000. Cant work out what is wrong. Any ideas, please. jeanolivia.

admin Hi Jeanolivia, Within the zip file is a folder. The files that are inside the folder need to be copied to the floppy disk (ie don't copy the folder, copy the files inside it). Then place the disk in the KN7000. Press and HOLD the DISK button and you'll see the 20 Styles. Select the one you want and press LOAD. The Style will then be in your RHYTHM GROUP > MEMORY in Bank A. Eventually, as the Series is expanded, there will be 27 folders inside the zip file, so you'll need 27 floppy disks, or an SD Card. The procedure is exactly the same for Styles Series Y1, so give those a try too! You'll find the original tempos of the Styles listed in the PDF files. Let us know how you get on and what you think of the Styles.

gusch Thx
It is very interesting to experiment.
My training on keyboards is not very good but I have a lot of fun in experimenting.

joyheather Thank you Mike and team for all your hard work which is giving me so much pleasure. These latest styles were very easy to download and install and sound great on the KN7000.

MfG Konstantin

Konstantin,

Thanks, I will be adding to the Tyros 3 conversion regularly until they are all completed.

However, watch this space because I will have some new Styles soon that will suit you!

Danke, ich werde das Hinzufügen , um den Tyros 3 Umwandlung regelmäßig , bis sie alle abgeschlossen sind.

Allerdings watch this space , weil ich einige neue Styles haben bald, dass zu Ihnen passt !

Daniel83 In the second file "0323K7SSY2.AST", the style "MoonlightBld" occurs twice. Otherwise it's a very good job once again. I like these styles!
Posted on April 06, 2015 at 4:49 PM
admin So it does!

That means that there is a Style missing - Modern Orchastra Swing I think. I'll correct that as soon as I can and I'll post a message here.

I'm glad you like them, Converting these ones has been a steep learning curve for me, I've done each one of them multiple times and I can still hear things I want to change (someday).
Posted on April 06, 2015 at 4:54 PM
admin I've corrected this now. The AST files for SD Card and for Floppy disk now include the MORSwing Style instead of duplicating MoonlightBld. It is one of my favourites, great for "Can't Smile Without You" by Barry Manilow and several other sweet tunes.

Daniel83 I converted some Tyros-styles myself years ago, so I know how hard the work can be. Oh yes, one day, you'll be happy, and the other day, you like to change some sounds because you're no longer happy with the entire style.

thesaint Hi Mike, thanks again for your work in the Technics arena. I am looking forward again to the PR903 styles as good as this instrument is, it has nowhere near as many styles as the KN7000. I use 2gb cards in my KN7 and they work ok, but must only be marked SD, not SDHC, (so I am told).
Ray

admin Hi Ray, good to hear from you. PR903 is compatible with KN6000 so if you go to the following page in the members area there are hundreds of Styles available. I'll be adding a page specifically for PR903 in the near future too.

http://members.technicskeyboards.com/instruments/technics-kn6000/...

You're correct that KN7000 can use some 2Gb SD Secure cards but it will only address 1Gb of space on those cards. It wasn't designed for 2Gb cards so I don't recommend people to buy them.

Best wishes, Mike

Daniel83 It's not easy to make all Tyros styles sounding perfect on the Technics keyboard due to the complex programming, megavoices, and the limitations of StyleWorks. For example, the first intro of "70s TvTheme"-style sounds very good, the second intro doesn't. Don't worry mike, you do a great job and I like these styles.

admin Hi Daniel83, well, I'm glad you are so perceptive. In fact I have a much better version of this particular style somewhere but I have to search for it. I will update it in due course. I like this style a lot and I've had a few attempts at converting it until I arrived at one that I liked. When I came to assemble the latest version of the collection I couldn't find it. This is the sort off feedback I enjoy because I can tell you're really listening to the Styles smiling
