KN6000 ONE key sounds weird

Hi there, any idea for a solution for this: the C below middle C of my keyboard sounds very loud regardless of how gently I touch it. I reset the keyboard - no change. It is only ONE key - that middle C. Anyone experienced this? Thanks. Oh, and Merry Ch…

It's got to be the strip under that note is worn out. Dont try taking your keyboard apart though,,,very complicated. Time to get an expert to look at it.

That's a great tip for what I would need to advice the tech guy. Thank you.

Hi One thing to add for your Tech guy. I have found that if there are pet at home things like cat hairs can sometimes find their way under the silicone contact strip even dust in the wrong place can cause problems. the contacts are replaceable but I would advise getting an engineer to strip the keyboard down for the work to be carried out.
Regards John.

Lol, John, I knew I shouldn't have rescued the cat that is now one of the 3 pets we have at home...smiling Two shih-tzu dogs and one long-haired cat equals trouble. I am joking, of course. I will, John, mention that to the tech guy, although I am doubtful about the hair. This KN6000 was a replacement to my old one and it was used one time only after purchasing it from the UK; I played once with it at work in August this year, it failed me (the rhythm started skipping !!!!) and I left it in its case until two days ago when I needed it. It appears to me that I just happened to have bought a problematic keyboard. But, ye, thanks for the advice. smiling Will mention the cat. smiling

Strip replaced from the other 'dead' KN6000 I've got. My husband took his chance and carefully disassembled both keyboards. Thank you, John, for giving us the clue.
